Apple Pie Puff Pastry with Cinnamon | Easy & Healthy Dessert Recipe

Apple Pie Puff Pastry - Lerrie's Kitchen

 1 sheets ready-made puff pastry
2 medium apples (try Granny Smith for tartness or Honeycrisp for sweetness)
 2 tbsp honey
 1 tsp ground cinnamon
 ½ tsp nutmeg (optional)
 1 tsp lemon juice
 1 tbsp cornstarch
 1 egg (for egg wash)
1

Preheat Oven. Set to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with silicone baking mat or parchment paper.

2

Prepare the Apple Filling. In a pan, combine apples, honey/maple syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Cook on medium heat for 5 minutes until apples soften and mixture thickens. Let cool slightly.

3

Assemble the Puff Pastry. Roll out puff pastry sheets. Cut into squares or rectangles. Spoon apple filling into the center of each piece. Fold over and seal edges with a fork.

4

Egg Wash. Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.

5

Bake. Place pastries on baking sheet and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown.

6

Serve. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm!
