Apple Pie Puff Pastry with Cinnamon | Easy & Healthy Dessert Recipe

Ingredients:
1sheets ready-made puff pastry
2medium apples (try Granny Smith for tartness or Honeycrisp for sweetness)
2tbsphoney
1tspground cinnamon
½tspnutmeg (optional)
1tsplemon juice
1tbspcornstarch
1egg (for egg wash)
Directions:

Preheat Oven. Set to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with silicone baking mat or parchment paper.

Prepare the Apple Filling. In a pan, combine apples, honey/maple syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Cook on medium heat for 5 minutes until apples soften and mixture thickens. Let cool slightly.

Assemble the Puff Pastry. Roll out puff pastry sheets. Cut into squares or rectangles. Spoon apple filling into the center of each piece. Fold over and seal edges with a fork.

Egg Wash. Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.

Bake. Place pastries on baking sheet and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown.

Serve. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm!
